Our Team

All of our team specialise in the area of family law. Colin Simpson (Principal) and Ivan Tanzer (Consultant) have many years of legal experience. Colin has practised almost exclusively in the area of family law for the past eight years.

Ivan has a distinguished law career, especially in the area of family law. He has been a Magistrate and Deputy District Court Judge in Hong Kong and after his return to Australia in 1993, was appointed Registrar of the Family Court of Australia, a position which he held for the next 13 years. Lesley Gillard has recently joined our team as a solicitor. Prior to working in family law, he had a lengthy background in banking and finance.

 

We are excellent divorce lawyers.

In addition to being admitted as Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Queensland, and Solicitors and Barristers of The High Court of Australia, our lawyers have qualifications in mediation and collaborative law. The experience and expertise we have at Springwood Lawyers means that our lawyers will represent you at most of your Court appearances and barristers will only be retained when necessary.
