Our Team

Our team specialises in the area of family law. Colin Simpson (Principal) and Peter Pavusa (Senior Solicitor) have many years of legal experience. Colin has practised almost exclusively in the area of family law for the past 12 years.

Peter has practised primarily in the area of family law for the past 13 years and is an accredited family law specialist. He worked in a Brisbane City firm for 25 years, the last 17 of which as a partner. He moved to the Springwood area to practise after his firm was sold and built a successful family law practise, before taking up his current position at Springwood lawyers in 2011.

Alison Slocombe commenced her career as a solicitor working in a large Melbourne firm prior to moving to Queensland and joining our team at Springwood Lawyers 2 years ago. Her work and experience as a solicitor has entirely been in the area of family law and she has become very good at it. She has a passion for and is skilled in this area of practice.

We are excellent divorce lawyers.

In addition to being admitted as Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Queensland, and Solicitors and Barristers of The High Court of Australia, our lawyers have qualifications in mediation and collaborative law.
